BUILDING A LEGACY

We cannot believe how much God has blessed us as a church and how we have grown the past several years.  New people of all ages continue to visit and attend GLC, looking for the hope, opportunities, improvements, and relationships that come from our life-giving church.  We are excited about the next steps because our mission is to reach as many people in our city as we can with the truth and love of God.  We want to reach not just those attending now, but other people in our city, and future generations to come.

In order to do that, we need to continue to grow because healthy things grow, right? If you want to play an important part in this incredible next season we are shifting into, then check out the info below, choose an action step, and watch God move not only in this church but in your life too!

 1. NEW BUILDING GAME PLAN

Life Center Pgh, LLC, a partner company of Grace Life Church, is seeking to purchase “The Club Health and Sport Center” located at 1 Racquet Lane, Monroeville, PA 15146. This multi-level building, built in 1980, is approximately 169,000 SQ FT and includes tennis courts, sports and athletic facilities (with associated equipment), a sauna/spa area, locker rooms, basketball courts, a running track, a restaurant, an indoor and an outdoor pool, meeting rooms, office areas, potential space for an ice skating rink, and approximately 350 parking spaces, with access to 600 spaces additionally. The facility sits on approximately 10 acres in the heart of the business, retail and residential community of Monroeville. “The Club” is approximately 2 miles from GLC’s current location, at 4761 William Penn Highway, Monroeville.  In its heyday, “The Club” supported over 8000 members, and provided a positive, viable presence in the community.

Upon purchase, Life Center Pgh will renovate a portion of the space to create a professional concert venue, available for public performances.  Grace Life Church will be a tenant of Life Center, contracting to use the concert venue and children/student areas for its weekend services and ministry.

2. WHAT IS MARKETPLACE MINISTRY?

What makes this building acquisition particularly intriguing is that it fits hand-in-glove with GLC’s “Marketplace Ministry” model. Marketplace Ministry is an innovative approach to Ministry, enabling GLC to expand its church campus, serve more people, create more jobs, impact the community, and build God’s Kingdom without burdening current and future congregants with exorbitant debt. The model supports investment in successful business ventures so that business profits, rental income and other sources of funds are ultimately provided to charitable organizations like the church, enabling them to focus on community needs, evangelism, discipleship, and missions, or offset other operating costs or long-term debt.  These revenue streams will provide cash flow and residual income for current and future generations.

3. WHAT IT TAKES AND WHY YOU NEED TO BE A PART:

The Phase 1 Goal for Grace Life Church members is to raise $1,000,000 by April 30, 2019.

These funds raised by GLC will be used towards renovation of areas of the Club used by the church: a new 1,100 seat, professional state-of-the-art concert venue, and creative and progressive facilities for our Next Generation ministries.
